Volunteer Open Day

We are opening their doors for free on the 9th February for a Volunteer Open Day!

We Love our Friends and Volunteers is an annual event where volunteers and supporters of the Museum, Garden and Field Studies Centre, present and future get together, socialise and learn more about this wonderful heritage site.

The day will run from the Gilbert White Field Studies Centre from 11am; in the morning there will be opportunity to chat to current volunteers, and staff and find out about the wide variety of different roles and projects you could get involved in. From working in the garden, room stewarding, helping with events, costumed interpretation or working behind the scenes with our collections, there’s always something to suit every interest.

In the afternoon, there will be tours from the Field Studies Centre to the house and garden to learn a bit more about this hidden local treasure. The day will end at 3pm.
