An opportunity for teachers to visit the Gilbert White Field Studies Centre, situated in a magnificent 17th century Hampshire barn, set in the beautiful surroundings of Gilbert White’s House & Gardens. The Field Studies Centre offers an exciting, investigative approach to learning in the environment for pupils of all ages and abilities.
Our wide range of curriculum linked, differentiated programmes are led by professional staff and are tailored to the individual requirements of each school, college or organisation.

Enjoy working in beautiful surroundings under the guidance of professional artist Jan Harbon. The ticket price includes Morning Coffee & Biscuits, a Light Lunch and Tea & Homemade Cake mid-afternoon. Jan Harbon is our Artist in Residence here at Gilbert White’s House and Gardens. Many of her paintings are presently on display here in our Award Winning Tea Parlour.
