From Fire to Ice – A Journey Through the Solar System

From Fire to Ice – A Journey Through the Solar System – Including a look at the springtime night sky

We see extremes of temperatures in the solar system from the core of our Sun to the frigid outer reached of the solar system. These temperatures differences shape our little corner of the cosmos; they create the many different types of worlds that inhabit our solar system.

In this talk we shall journey through our solar system and look to see how these temperatures have fashioned these unique worlds and discover what our telescopes and planetary probes have found.

This is a richly illustrated talk, drawing on some of the latest data and imagery from European Space Agency and NASA.
