Salted Caramel Chocolate Button Cake

Our seasonal menu selections are inspired by the fruit, vegetables and herbs available in our garden.
The kitchen garden team work hard to ensure we are supplied with fresh ingredients. The vegetables and soft fruit varieties grown are based on the ones recorded by Gilbert White in his ‘Garden Kalendar’. Where the original 18th century varieties are not available other heritage varieties are grown, mixing some of the more unusual plants with those that can be supplied in bulk for use in the kitchen.

The perfect place to relax after a day exploring Gilbert White’s House, Selborne and the surrounding countryside. Entry to our Tea Parlour is free. We are open from 10.30 until half an hour before the museum closes.
