Gilbert White’s Brewery Tasting Day

18th April, 2021 10.30 to 16.30

Update plans for Sunday
In order to comply with the Coronavirus Regulations, we will operate table service for the Gilbert White’s Brewery tasting day, which is now being held on Sunday 18th April – between 10.30am and 4.30pm on the back lawn of the museum.
We have a number of tables that you may wish to pre-book in order to guarantee a slot. We will need to know time of arrival and the number in your party. Each person will have to complete the registration system by scanning the QR Code that is displayed. In order to allow access to more visitors there is a two-hour maximum booking per table. To make a booking please email brewery@gilbertwhiteshouse.org.uk

Of course, we have plenty of space on the lawn and you are welcome to bring your own seating/picnic blankets etc and we will be more than happy to serve you but, of course, you will still need to conform with current social distancing regulations and maximum group size as well as each of you registering using the QR code.

Now that the funeral plans are confirmed for HRH the Duke of Edinburgh, we felt that as a mark of respect we should postpone the Gilbert White’s Brewery tasting day which was also planned to take place on Saturday next week. The tasting day will now take place on Sunday 18th April from 1030 to 1630 which is after the official period of mourning.

There will be a full range of beers for sale on tap and a couple of tasting selections for you to sample our current brewery range.

White’s will be open as usual and, by then, White’s Delights with seating on the back lawn will also be available.

For the tasting, White’s will put on a Hampshire Ploughman’s lunch with home roasted Hampshire ham, old Winchester Cheddar with crusty bread and homemade pickle.
